I've seen alot of churches on this tour of eastern Europe and this is the one I liked the best. It catches you by surprise at the beautiful details, the walls, of course the altar etc.., but, this is one you need to just sit down and just start looking around and appreciating. Thought this was the best church.

Wonderful gothic church with one of the most beautiful stained glass massive window, which was created by Wyspiański. Meticulously decorated, may seem a bit dark but it's worth visiting. Try to see the manger during Christmas (living animals and people!) or their catacombs which resemble those in Palermo (once a year, I think, sometime in November - I don't remember,... More

It was a cold and snowy afternoon when I went. I actually first went to the Wyspianski Museum and saw Stanislas Wyspianski's drawings and other work before I went over to the church. The inside of the church was very dark but plenty of light came through the glass panels. The stained glass in the church are absolutely gorgeous, very... More

We stumbled accross the church while wandering. We were told it was one of Pope John Paul II's favorites, and we can see why. Very serene and calm, with some gems of stained glass and relics. You won't need a long visit, but should stop in.

We were taken to this church by our walking tour guide otherwise we would have missed it. Beautiful church. Was told lots of history about the stain glass window that depicts 'God' apparently the famous artist used a 'tramp' for the model. Also shown the pew where John Paul 11 used to sit when he went to the church.

You have to come here afternoon (2.00 PM-3.00 PM). Please go into the church thru main doors (from planty side), then turn your back, and take a look to main stained glass
