The oldest part of Wrocław - beautiful buildings, cathedral, lovers' bridge, great views.
If You traveled to Wroclow and haven't seeing Ostow it is big omission.
The cathedral is lovely, and there is a lift to the top for a panoramic vierw over Wroclaw. There are also at least thre eother chirches, formal gardens and wonderful botanical garden, definitely worth a visit. We went in early May, and it was clear that there would be something to see all year round.
As you walk to Ostrow Tumski via Lover's Bridge, you see lots of locks with names on them. It's said that if lovers leave a lock there and throw the key to the river, their love will last for ever :-)
It is a very beautiful place, I'd say most beautiful part of Wroclaw. The cathedral is one of the...

Most beautiful riverside in Wroclaw with few small islands linked by cute little bridges. Amazing cathedrals & churches including the main St John cathedra. The "most tumski" the green bridge has hundreds of locks on it, mark of lovers/ couples locking their love for each other. Don't miss the tea/ coffee/ snacks at Cafe Chic and sit by the riverside...

Amazing and charming place. You can feel like ages before. Must to see in Wroclaw.
Buy a padlock, take your loved one, lock the padlock on the bridge and make a wish. Do it at 5.30pm in the winter when the gas lamps are lit giving the place a wonderfully romantic feel
Ostrow Tumski is the heart of Wroclaw, the oldest inhabited part of the city. Many magnificent monuments and interesting buildings. Very close to the river Oder. In Wroclaw I was already a couple of times, the city has many things to offer, beautiful old city, but also the old market and churches. Wroclaw near Poznan and Krakow has a most...

My favourite place in Wroclaw. A former island (ostrow in Old Polish), situated across the river from Old Town and city centre is in fact the oldest part of Wroclaw. You have to walk for 15-20 minutes from Old Town Square and cross few picturesque bridges on Odra River and its branches. The place is unbelievably peaceful, tidy, silent after...
