It's astounding to find this wonderful palace so low on the list of attractions in Warsaw. True, it's a little way out of the centre, but the public transport links are good (and Warsaw taxis are not expensive). The Palace is filled with an amazing collection of portraits of Polish royalty and nobility. The gardens are spectacular, mix of French... More

Great, recently renewed pallace of Jan III Sobieski, very impressing from the outside and common (as a museum) from the inside. Pallace is surrounded by wonderful french garden which is so amazing, that became one of the most popular wedding photoshoot location in Warsaw!

For those who have seen Lazienki Park with palace and still want to visit another park with palace I can recomend this place, especially in summer warm days; it gets extra point from me just because this palace was a gift of king Jan the 3rd Sobieski for his beloved wife queen Marisienka!

... due to permanent "Zakopane-like" queues. If you are with kids, better to avoid this place.

The visit to the Palace in Wilanow is a must. It is beautiful. But please visit the Poster Museum that is located just next to the Palace. They have a very nice collection of modern posters there, if you like this form of art you will not regret taking your time.

Even if you have a PHD in "fine arts," don't visit without a tour guide. Wilanow is filled with European and Oriental art. The paintings are masterful, especially the portrait by Jacques David. The plafonds and the sculptured wall and ceiling decorations are magnificent. The exterior is a baroque masterpiece.

First of all, we had a difficult time finding parking--there is a lot of construction at the entrance and absolutely no signage indicating where to park. We ended up parking across the street near a cemetary. Very annoying. The best bet is to take a bus--there is a bus stop right across from the entrance to Wilanow. The exterior of... More

The castle looks very nice from outside, but a bit boring the museum itself: first only paintings in white walls, then some furniture in a few rooms (like you have a white room and 3-4 furniture inside, no nice carpets). At the end there are some nice rooms nearly fully furnitured. It was a disappointment for me. Part of the... More

Basically a waste of time as the road to the entrance is undergoing rebuilding and dust is blowing all over the place. The gardens around the building are being redone so are only dirt as well and the rooms within the palace are being upgraded. Having said all of this the exterior is very nice and is free.

It is worth a trip outside of the Warsaw city center to get to Wilanow Palace. The park around the palace is very nice, the building of the palace is outstanding, however we were very disappointed with the exposition inside. If you are not interested in paintings of Polish nobel families do not go it as there is hardly anything... More
