We live a few blocks down from the cemetary and for any one who is a lover of such things (Pere-Lachaise, etc.), this is a great, historical necropolis to visit. Its especially atmospheric in the autumn, when the Poles celebrate All Souls Day (see photos attached) in splendid style (if someone gratuitously). Well worth a short side visit when in... More

to many noble families. Quiet and full of memories. Has nice, ancient tombs, and a more recent ones. Is not in the center, but with a quick access by a tram. Next to the old Jewish cemetery, well worth a visit too. I would recommend for a family visit and for a bunch of friends as well as for a... More

It's one of the best places to visit in WAW. I am history freak, so I asked tour guide to go there and he told me so many interesting stories about polish celebrities. This place has got individual style. If you were in Pere Lachaise in Paris you should also visit Powazki Cemetery.

This cemetery was so different than ones you see in the US. definitely interesting to walk around and see the many tombstones. A little hard to find if you don't know exactly where to look.

one of the most important Polish cemetaries with beautiful alleys, similar to some old English ones. A lot of Poles who were important in the country were laid there, an amazing place to visit on 01Nov when it's the All Saints Day!

I spent over 1.5 hours here and could have spent many more. Interesting, sad and beautiful all at the same time. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a very specific destination. It is a cemetary afterall. As I have relatives buried there, I admit to being biased on my rating. Nonetheless, there is no other place in Warsaw that you can see its history, both successes and tragedies. There are special sections for the the military and for the various campaigns - you really see... More

Gr8 place to visit especially in autumn time- amazing graves of the most popular & greatest poles. Cant miss it! unfortunately there isn't any shop or info avaiable at the cemetry- sometimes hard to find someones grave.

It's the Polish pere la chaise. Full of dead poets, statesmen, men of peer. The best dead to visit is of course all saints, 1st of November.
