The caves are really worth a visit.scenery is magnificent but spoilt by those who do not consider that taking photos is bannned and is also ruining the area. Why don't the staff enforce the ban? I complained but the staff only said Oh they shouldn't use flash . That's not what the signs say!!! memories can be stored very easily... more
We took a day trip to Slovenia while staying in Austria and found the country to be beautiful. We especially enjoyed visiting the caves and the castle. A great trip, Slovenia is such a beautiful country. The trip to Predjamski Grad(Predjama Castle) and the caves of Postojnska Jama are well worth your money. You'll have such a great experience. Enjoy. more
A visit to the caves is compulsory once in Slovenia. The entrance to the main cave is well kept and well organized. Spacious and nice on the outside. The cave trip started with a ride on the 'cave train' that takes you further into the caves than would be possible by walking. On your journey you go by many formations which all look very spectacular, but there is better to come once you step off the train for your guided walk (1 hour long). There are a choice... more
This is a tricked out tourist attraction, but it is lovely. Vendors with some nice handmade glass, jewelry, fresh fruit stands, ice cream, t-shirts, etc. A restaurant in a stunningly beautiful building.
