If you within a 2 hour drive of the Postojna caves - go see them. In a nutshell the Postojna cave is a 9+km long cave that is spectacular. The most beautiful part of this living cave is about 1km inside the cave. There is an electric train that can take about 50 people at a time to a starting... more

Me and my girlfriend bought a guided trip from Ljubljana. The two of us got a very cool guy as our guide, and since it was just the three of us all day we had plenty of time. We learnt a lot about Slovenia and its history this day. The trip also included a trip to an old castle near... more

We arranged a daytrip here by coach whilst staying in Opatija in Croatia. It's a great experience to see the caves - I've been to the caves of Drach in Majorca but these are bigger and have a little open top train (a bit like a small roller coaster) that whizzes you through a large section of the caves which... more

Very touristy and expensive, 20 euros per person. Not really worth it unless you really like caves. more

The caves are really worth a visit.scenery is magnificent but spoilt by those who do not consider that taking photos is bannned and is also ruining the area. Why don't the staff enforce the ban? I complained but the staff only said Oh they shouldn't use flash . That's not what the signs say!!! memories can be stored very easily... more

We took a day trip to Slovenia while staying in Austria and found the country to be beautiful. We especially enjoyed visiting the caves and the castle. You can get a combo ticket if you plan to do both, and they are close enough together so you should plan to enjoy both. The caves are full of beautiful stalactite and... more

A great trip, Slovenia is such a beautiful country. The trip to Predjamski Grad(Predjama Castle) and the caves of Postojnska Jama are well worth your money. You'll have such a great experience. Enjoy. more

A visit to the caves is compulsory once in Slovenia. The entrance to the main cave is well kept and well organized. Spacious and nice on the outside. The cave itself is of course something special, and targeted at mass tourism as this cave is one of the most accessible. Everything ran smoothly, except (as far as I can remember)... more

The cave trip started with a ride on the 'cave train' that takes you further into the caves than would be possible by walking. On your journey you go by many formations which all look very spectacular, but there is better to come once you step off the train for your guided walk (1 hour long). There are a choice... more

This is a tricked out tourist attraction, but it is lovely. Vendors with some nice handmade glass, jewelry, fresh fruit stands, ice cream, t-shirts, etc. A restaurant in a stunningly beautiful building. I didn't eat there, so I don't know what the food is like. The cave itself is just breathtaking. It is very crowded, though. You take a tram... more
