Took both the general tour in the morning and the tour of the old Jewish quarter in the afternoon. Despite the cold both sets of guides delivered a great insight into Budapest. A definite recommendation! Please note that tips are asked for and we gladly paid the 3,000 HUFs which was a guideline for each tour. More

Danubius fountain (or Danubius kút in Hungarian) is located in Erzsebet square, in the middle of a small park, very close to Dėak square that is the heart of Pest. If you come by metro, any of the three lines stops in Dėak Ferenc Ter. Just leave the station, turn left and you will see the park. Therefore, it is... More

The guides' energy and enthusiam motivated us to continue with the walking tour on a very cold and snowy February day (15th). Both of them had a great sense of humour and offered information about Budapest in an interesting way that left me wanting to know more..... Thank you! More

We were a bit dubious about this coming off but appeared in Vorosmarty Ter at the allotted hour for the general walking tour on Tuesday 14th and hey presto there were other walkers and Sarah, Gary and (sorry, another guide whose name I can't remember). They were absolutely brilliant. Sarah could earn her living on the stage! The tour introduced... More

We met up as advised on the website and everything was brilliant, Very well organised and clear detailed information given. Our tour leader Agnes could not have been better,we were given lots of information and some very personal details of life in Budapest both during and after communism. It was perishing on the day we went but don't let the... More

Fun, thorough, experienced tour-guides. Professional guides who share their country's history in a vibrant, dedicated, and passionate way. These tours easily have a value of 30 Euro, but the donation is yours to choose. They are the reason, and Budapest, too, that I will return to their beautiful city! More

http://www.triptobudapest.hu/ We did the General tour very soon after arriving and we thought it was a good way to get acquainted with the city and some of its history and architecture. There is a morning and an afternoon tour both of which are approx 3 hours long which was just about right for us. The tour of the Jewish Quarter,... More

This was our first free walking tour and we will definitely recommend it to our family and friends. The guides were very knowledgeable about everything and nothing was too much trouble. It was very cold but we went inside for the final pieces of information. It is not only for students and young people. Make sure you visit the thermal... More
