First, make a reservation. We did not as their site says it's not required and almost didn't get to sit. Make a reservation. Wines were excellent, the employees were knowledgable and friendly, the prices were very reasonable ($5-$8/glass), and the setting can't be beat. it's underneath the Hilton on Castle Hill. If the idea of sitting around, having a glass... More

My partner and I loved this place! it was wonderful being down in a genuine cellar which the monks previously used! The feeling of the place was very intimate and special, with blankets over the chair if you get cold - very thoughtful. I absolutely loved the Hungarian wines as well! We did the full nine tastings, which I am... More

Mostly unexpected we were so surprised by the beautiful atmosphere of the wine tastery! Under the Hilton hotel there are ruins of many years ago.. within : Faust Wine Cellar! The man who was telling everything you wanted to know about the wine was very friendly.. we took our time for all the delicious wines, and that was fine as... More

We enjoyed our time in the wine cellar tasting and learning about the different wines of the region. We bought a bottle for later which is what they want you to do! Because there were 3 large groups and the 2 of us, it could have been better. It is run by a husband and wife and he serves and... More

Although the owners seems to be passionate for a wine, I found the atmosphere a bit pushing. Wines were not so good as we expected and very pricey. Well, I missed the spirit there.

I booked the 9 red wine tasting tour via email after having seen the posts below that detail that it is worthwhile booking in advance. IT IS as while we were there for 3.5 hours tasting high quality, low production Hungarian wines all 6 tables were booked! Thanks to Gabor and his wife who really do give you a great... More

We reserved the 6 red wine tasting in advance after reading several glowing recommendations. Gabor and Barbara were extremely helpful and flexible when we had to change the timing of our reservation. The experience was wonderful. Gabor was very informative, and the wines we tasted were great. We especially enjoyed the Bull's Blood on our tasting menu. They also provided... More

We stopped in here for the extended tasting, 8 glasses, generously poured, with cheese and some warm bread. The location was great and the tastings were very interesting and incredibly well presented. The sommelier working there was fantastic and really made it worth our trip. He was very accomdating, full of laughter and incredibly well versed in Hungarian wines. If... More
