Oke it's nice to know that also Budapest has a green oasis in the middle of the city or in this case in the middle of the Danube. You can get their by walking over a bridge. The park...well it is a park, what can i say more? It's very calm, you barely hear the noise from the city. We... More

told it was a green oasis in the middle of the city. well, i suppose it is, but its not stunning, mostly just a wild parland with football pitches and green spaces. a few formal flower beds at the entrance

Does not compare to parks in my home country, New Zealand. Although nice to have a picnic here after seeing concrete for 7 days straight.

Having read some -ve reviews, I think to find this lovely place, in the middle of the a busy city, between Buda & Pest is just lovely. We visited May 17th 2012, a lovely sunny day & the park was being planted with a workforce of gardeners completing a very grand job. It was peaceful to walk around & sit... More

We spent the whole morning strolling around the beautiful Margaret Island. It is a little gem in the middle of the Danube! A haven of peace and tranquility, away from the hustle and bustle of the more 'touristy' areas. Don't miss the Japanese water gardens (home to the noisiest frogs you've ever seen!!!)

One of my favourite place from May till end of September. Nice to go there for swimming in Hajos Alfred Uszoda, or check in to the Palatinus Strand... walking a lot or playing with the dogs. In case you like sports this is the place where you can enjoy it. Take the tram 4 or 6 or walk across the... More

Well, nothing too special here that is worth a visit...I am sure that in your origin countries, you have parks as well... We went there on a Saturday and it was full with locals and tourists- getting a tan, walking and eating ice cream, jogging... What you would expect from a park. :) There are far more interesting things to... More

A beautiful place to spent a few hours. You can walk around the island, or take a small train, golf buggy or double bikes (we did this and had great fun). If you have children the swimming pool looks amazing but the zoo was disappointing.
