Open daily except Sunday; outside bus and tram stops next to river so could not be better located. On 3 floors and great to spend a day in - more than once. The cleanliness of the entire building and stalls inside has to be seen to be believed. This is true Hungary and Budapest at its very best.

Very busy place especially around lunch time! We tried the fried pancakes, langos, which I liked but my partner didn`t! On another occasion we just had a beer & watched the world go by which was better!

I think you´ve already read about 2 second floors (middle, up). Just an quickie then. Middle floor second or first sideaile, an coffee place, eh ok it´s an open window. The second best coffee in buda. Well, if you´re an american, you probably don´t like it. Strong. Strongest you´ll have at Gellert spa, after the cashier, it´s free to enter... More

Great selection of fresh and cured meats. Too much touristy trinket stuff.

This very large indoor market used to be only food market (the food is still there on the ground floor where you can buy hundred's of different paprika's, salami's , meat and vegetable's). Since the renovation of the market (beautiful building by the way) there is also a first floor where hundred's of souvenir sellers show their trade. Prices there... More

Large market, quite clean and not too crowded (11am). lots of local meats vegetables and general market produce. makes an interesting visit especially if you come form where such markets are not common. Better than store prices. Not much that yo can eat while you are there.

We have a phrase in Hebrew- 'Nothing to write home about". It suits perfectly the Central Market Hall in Budapest. ;) We walked there for about 30 minutes and boy, it was not worth the time!!! If you cook a meal in Budapest maybe it will be worth a visit for fresh meats, cheeses, fruits and veggies...But from a strictly... More

Some stands are a bit pricey, but if you have time, shop around and you'll find some deals. Lots of Hungarian paprika!
