Its possible to turn up at the entrance and get tickets for the museum tour and Synagogue together. Very moving and you will leave a different person.

Very impressive and beautiful restored building with a disturbing history. The group needing an English guide was quite large making it difficult to hear everything the guide was saying, yet without a guide, you will miss the explanation of customs and history.
This is a beautiful synagogue, filled with history. Definitely go see it, and go on the tour.

The synagogue in Budapest is the most ornate synagogue I have ever seen! It is really dazzling and huge, and it is interesting to see a synagogue of this size. It's special and fascinating to see such a beautiful synagogue in eastern Europe and is definitely worth a stop.
That memorial tree in the courtyard is amazing and, again, quiet sobering and very touching.
