most fascinating building. The architect has done justice. The best parliament building I have seen so far. The adjoining library building and the ministry building across the street built on the designs of the loosing competing architects are equally impressive.

Puts Scottish Parlianment to shame. What a stunning piece of architecture. Best viewed from Citadella, Buda Castle or Parliament.

Ticket office opens at 0800am ; advise get there 15 mins earlier with your passports - you can choose 3 timed visits for that day and select the language - for EC citizens with passports its free. Quite outstanding inside; and limited photo opportunities without using flash. This is a must do.

Majestic, over-decorated ostentatious building... The best view (pictures) of it is from the Castle Hill on the other side of river Danube.

Best views of this building are from the Buda side of the Danube. On a sunny day, in the late afternoon the building is bathed in glorious sunshine which makes it look like it's covered in gold leaf.

We had reservations to tour the Parliament but because of a conflict could not make our day or time. My husband ran over (literally - he likes to run) early the next morning to see if we could get tickets for that day (or possibly the next). He saw the sign that said there were no more tickets available....usually he... More

From the outside, this is a stunning bulding and I highly recomment viewing by day and at night when it is all lit up. It looks amazing. Regarding the tour, the guide book we had did not mention about booking tickets in advance so when we turned up we were unable to go on the tour as it was sold... More

Marvellous to see from the outside, but it turned out to be impossible to get in to see the inside. This was due to very weird management of buying tickets. But the building looks marvellous from the outside, especially lit up at night from the river side.

I wasn't able to go on the tour, but just walking around the outside of the building is impressive. I also highly recommend taking a river cruise at night, when the building is all lit up - quite beautiful.

This Parliament building must be quite the place to actually work in. gold, gold and more gold. We took the45 minute tour which was very informative. YOU CANNOT PURCHASE TICKETS A DAY IN ADVANCE, SO YOU NEED TO GET THERE BY 8 am ON THE DAY YOU WANT TO VISIT. TICKETS SELL OUT FAST! A Budapest visit must.
