To begin with get there early, queues can be long and it isn't a case of nipping in and grabbing a ticket...you are let through in two's by an armed guard to get your tickets. So get there early, and don't forget your passport as if you are in an EU country you get in for free! The tour is... more

Tours in English at 10 am, noon, 1 pm and 2 pm, but they were sold out for the day when we arrived at 11.00 am. Don't think you can book in advance, so best to arrive early. more

On a recent visit to Budapest my family & i queued for approx 20 mins in the heat outside the Parliament building then discovered when reaching the ticket office that holders of EU passports could visit the place for free. Since we weren't carrying ours with us we had to return to the hotel & then queue up again. However when... more

Probably the most famous structure in all of Hungary, this beautiful structure sits on the Danube in downtown Budapest. I took a couple great pictures from a boat tour of this building and also got a couple great "across the danube" pictures from the Fishermans Bastion. When i went here as a child in 1986, i remember Parliament wasn't in... more

I arrived at the Parliament building at 9:30am and queued for about 30 minutes before being able to get my ticket for the 2pm tour. The tour is free for EU citizens (if you show your passport). On the guided tour, the tour guide explained that the building is modelled on Westminster. The tour lasted about 45 minutes and the... more

Stunning building on the Danube! Definately worth seeing, but beware of the incredibly long lines into the place. And the line does NOT move fast at all as they only allow a certain amount of people into the building at the time. I strongly urge you to book an appointment in advance for a tour! You can skip the entire... more

It was a non trivial exercise to get into the Parliament such is the interest from tourists and locals to view this magnificent building. There are hordes of tourists around the entrance so if you want to get in be there early, otherwise you will not get in. The guide explained everything in detail and we enjoyed our tour. The... more

We have just been to Budapest for a few days and one of the sights we wanted to see was Parliament. First I will give you an idea of the process to get into the building: you can only approach one gate, gate 10 (X in Roman numerals), where the ticket office is. The rest of the building (even the... more

This gorgeous Parliament building in Budapest is among the 3 largest ones built during the Austro/Hungarian Monachy. Beautiful interior, national crown and many hidden jewels that I explored with Cityrama Budapest on a Parliament tour. Great fun!!!! more
