Vaci utca is just a pedestrian street in central Pest, and not a particularly attractive street either. Shopping for fashion in Budapest is no cheaper, and often more expensive, compared to other EU cities. The restaurants are all tourist traps and the souvenir shops all very tacky. By all means, go for a walk along it, but don't expect to... more

A Thai massage, coffee, drinks and dinner, shopping or strolling. If these are some of the things that interest you or your family, then do head for a day to the very pretty, vacci utca on the Pest side of Budapest. Trams 2 and 2A will take you there from most places (advisable to check with your hotel). The street... more

I myself have been living in Budapest for over 3 years. Its main attractions, for a person under 20, are Westend, Mammut, MOMPark, and Vaci Utca. Vaci Utca probably has over 50 shops. The problem is, how many shops can you find there with a decent price? Not many. I think that on Vaci Utca there is a sort of... more

Vaci Utca is great for shopping, opening hours tend to be around 10 am - 7pm but can vary. The street is always quite lively however as tourist haunt the food can be a bit more expensive. Vaci is also close to the Duna (Danube) and the Chain Bridge which is spectacular at night. I found a few restaurants and... more
