Honestly I expected little bit more. Once you get on the top the view is SPECTACULAR! But on the way up (next to Gellert Spa) I thought that I'm somewhere at the dumpster. Lots of trash around- empty bottles, cans of beer etc. Other important fact to mention is that there are a lot of benches around with another beautiful... More

The views from the top of the hill are absolutely stunning. Don't be tempted to take the bus ride to the top of the hill. Put on your good walking shoes and climb your way up. It's an average 1-hour climb, which is so much worth it. To our surprise, there was free WI-FI near the Citadella, which allowed us... More

The views are second to none, especially at night looking across Pest side of the city. Don't count on the restaurants, food or souvenirs in the Citadell area as it is tacky and overpriced but views are great. 1hour activity

The walk is really nice, quite steep but not exhausting. The walk is marked by touristic marks all the way up to the Citadel so it's quite impossible to get lost. We had a walk in the morning, far far before tourists started heading for it, so we had a lovely and tranquil walk. In my travel guide I've read... More

Stopped on a city tour (cityrama), which came with our hotel package. Didn't know what to expect, but the reviews are accurate - all about the views, not much else. Stayed about 20 mins, then headed to Fisherman's Bastion. Gave it 4 of 5 stars because we got a couple great pictures. Something cool up there to go with the... More

The main point here is not the construction per se (there's not much to see), but the nice walk uphill in a garden and the view of the city. Want some exercise, calm and nature? Go there.
