The views are lovely, but the walk to the top is fairly steep. There are some good view point stop off's along the way. I visited Gellert Hill with my female friend (we're both mid twenties) around lunch time on a saturday. No need to pay to get into Citadella in order to enjoy these views. The view from Gellert Hill is the best in Budapest. It's a great way to see the city. Take one of the public transport buses up closer to the top so you don't have to climb up the whole thing (#27 I believe). The monument and... more
