Boring. Staff are rude. Expensive. There is absolutely nothing interesting in this museum. Not reccomended at all.
My kids couldn't find anything to do there. They were looking for touch and play experience, but couldn't find any. For adults very intermediate exhibition
We came with our 4-year old boy, hoping this is a good idea. BUT, after they took our money for the ticket, the staff told us, we can not enter in the museum with our backpacks. My husband tried to explain that he is a photographer and his equipment worth several thousand dollars, beside that there were our passports, documents,... More
Do not expect a lot of trains, planes and automobiles in this museum. But it is a good place to visit with young children, I would say up to 13 yrs old. There is a collection of trains (most models), cars and a space capsule. There is also a small collection of toys from the past. The location in the... More
A modern well layed out museum. Not that big with trains and model trains of the glory times of steam. Up stairs the history of ships in all there model glory, even down to the Titanic that the son of my great grand father went down with as a second class passenger.
Well, it's far from center but if you are traveling with children you may like it. There are many real old locomotives, trams even one or two airplanes within. You can climb inside some of them. There is great quantity of models: moving trains, working pneumo-post machine, ships, old socialist toys and so on. Almost no computers but you that... More
Excellent selection of exhibits with the main emphasis on rail. Fantastic models and collection of photos. I would avoid going when there is a school trip as the kids are running about when you are trying to read displays. Very good museum and a good day out, well worth a visit.
Having read on the museum's Internet site the week before arrival that the aircraft department of the museum only was open on Fridays and Saturdays I came to the museum Friday 5. October 2012 only to find the aircraft department closed from 1. October due to "technical reasons". This without any previous information. I had come from Norway only to... More
Not much help was available as the pitch of the museum seems to be for locals with little information available for non-native speakers. The aircraft part of the museum's located elsewhere a short distance away, which is something I wasn't advised about, so this was very disappointing. It was very annoying to be excluded from the cars exhibit hall due... More
We very much enjoyed this wide-ranging museum. It has a marvellous collection of transport modes and gives a good portrayal of social change mediated by transport over the past 150 years in particular. The impressive entrance approach featuring a train locomotive and biplane sets the tone. We like vintage and veteran cars and there are some very impressive models on... More
