During my 2 week in December this was the place I loved the most. First of all of the overall idea, secondly of the attractions, hot water/cold weather mix etc. But what you need to try is what my Hungarian friend did with me. 1) Get the rainy, dark evening; 2) Get somebody to hold your head; 3) Lie on... OK, when in Budapest you have to go to the baths and this one is really beautiful... It could be cleaner and the service could happen with a smile but again, on a sunny day - have to do it.

We had a hard time deciding between the many baths and spas in Budapest, but are so glad we decided on Szechenyi! The outdoor pool area is amazing! Its like a big pool party in Budapest! Especially since on our visit on a Sunday there was a live orchestra playing! Its a great place where locals and tourists mix, but... More

We not only enjoyed the outdoor pools, we also got a relaxing one-hour massage. It was a great break from all of the walking and sightseeing. This is one of those "must-do" things in Budapest

Very similar to a British 1950's/60's lido and the 34 degrees water temperature took some getting used to especially as the air temperature that day was 30 degrees!!! We had fun people watching and experiencing the indoor spas. A brass band playing really made it a day to remember

The place is good and well organized. Many different pools and the hot water is relaxing. Besides it was quite full, there was enough space to everyone, but I expected a quieter environment.

What i loved about this place are the pools located outside. They are very warm and it felt so nice to relax outside! But i hated the pools inside the building. There are many pools inside with different temperatures - but the water smells terrible and the place doesn't look nice. The walls are all white and nothing stands out.... More

A lot of pools with different temperatures and also many kind of saunas. This is a place for everybody. No matter how you look or if you are old or young. Here you can meet same persons year after year. Hungarians really love this place, and so do I. Look behind every door, you might find another pool. Also massage... More
