This is really interesting place on a touristic map of Budapest. Even though the Kiraly Baths is a small Turkish bath situated a bit far from the main streets of Budapest, it is still worth to visit this place and experience the historical atmosphere of this place, which built in 16 century - especially the main chamber. However in my... More

Wonderful ancient Turkish baths, atmospheric, very memorable experience. Managed to get to a few baths during my stay and Kiraly really was the one that will stand out in the memory. If you want a clinical, refined bathing experience in Budapest try the Four Seasons or wherever.

Quite dilapidated but lovely authentic baths that we spent a couple of hours in. Right next door to the Regnum Residence Hotel in Buda.

If you get over your first feeling from the outside appearance of the building you can find a really interesting place in the Kiraly Bath. Yes, it is old and renovation is really needed but the pools are ok and you can enjoy almost private atmosphere, especially in the morning. The challange is lack of knowledge of English at majority... More

Everything about this place screams 'state owned' and I get the feeling it has not changed much in the last fifty years - although the water was probably warmer then! Unfriendly staff who's English deserted them when it came to claiming back the deposit on the wrist bands. The old con, reported on by others, is still being tried and... More

The old baths are pretty cool, but only because they're really old. The place is pretty run down and it shows. We had free passes via groupon hotel deal, so I checked it out, but I'm glad my wife stayed at the hotel for a nap, she wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes....compared to Szechenyi, which I went the next day,... Called in one Hot summers day and was surprised by how expensive it was for such a run down place. Its 16th Century and it has'nt been updated much since. What a bizarre experience, dingy and dark and smelling of sulphur. But the baths were lovely and warm and as clean as necessary I guess.Worth seeking out for an authentic... More

Being on a romantic Budapest weekend, we got a free entrance ticket for this Bath with our hotel-package. I don't want to sound too negative now. Maybe we expected something else (a nice "Therme"-Bath as they have in Austria for example). What we found was really a horror! First of all we did not find the place (we crossed it... More
