Swimming in the caves was a pleasure, great experience. The dark cave was my favorite! The only thing I missed were open-air pools, I thought they are open year-round, like in Szecheny baths in Budapest, but it turned out they are closed for winter.

It is a great, special and unique. Only one disadvantage there is only one restaurant you can not choose.

Stayed at a local Panzio, only afew hundred yards away. We stayed 5 hours in the baths, very relaxing. Food was good and typical Hungarian fare, and of course reasonably priced. Will come again

It's a long drive from Eger through the beautiful Bukk National Park, and, if you are driving, it's surprisingly easy to find from the center of Miskolc. I had not been to these baths since the 1990s, and wow! What an improvement. After getting your wristband, you can use a changing cabin right at the entrance (which is super basic), and then throw 100 Ft. deposit into a locker for a key. I loved the Cave baths. There is everything one needs. You get an armband at the entrance and you use it for everything, incl. the locker.
