The mosque dominates the main square of Pecs. When I asked if we needed to remove our shoes, I was reminded it was a Christian church - an interesting blend with its Muslim origin. Worth stopping by.

I agree with a previous reviewer, there isn't much to do here but it's worth a short visit! I loved the juxtaposition of the mosque and the church. If you are interested in history and religion, go and visit. Also, the view from the entrance of the main square is great for pictures.

This is not a lot to see and do, but it's worth the visit to see and better understand the history of Hungary and the region.

The Gazi Kaszim Mosque is in the heart of the city, so visiting it is easy once you get to Pecs. The Mosque is a 20 minute walk from the railway station, a nice walk in summer time. An interesting place to visit if you are on Pecs.
