They are renovating right now so the entrance is through the ice cream shop, the signs aren't that good but once we entered we very much enjoyed it. We bought various marzipan in the shop and were impresed with the display. We would have loved to also see how it's manufactured.

A small but actrative village with massive history and masses of tourists as well! Interesting craft stalls and shops with good quality wares. We sat outside the museum having delicious cakes with marzipan, lovely drinks. If you do not mind the coach loads arriving, worth a visit for it's charm.

I loved this musuem and thought it was incredibly clever. The marizpan tastes incredible and we even bought a few pieces made into animals for family and friends at home. Although it's incredible, and the "oohs" and "aaahss" from visitors says it all...in essence this museum is a plastercine model museum....it's just the fact you know you could eat it...if... More

I am not much of a lover of the taste of marzipan, but what has been made with it here is absolutely astouding, cheeky, irreverant and very entertaining. There are likenesses of Princess Diana, Michael Jackson and numerous political figures as well as the Hungarian Parliament building and a choc shop at the exit. A fun diversion.

if you love Marsipan and are visiting the area, this is a must-see museum in the charming artistic village of Szetendre, a short and easy train ride away from downtown Budapest. It's a tiny museum but full of surprises from Michael (Jackson) in actual size to Walt Disney characters, all looking pretty amazing considering they were made 100% in colored... More

The fact that everything in this museum is made of marzipan is incredible! Posted on some of the exhibits are a list of the ingredients used. This is a strange place; one that you will surely remember.

I was in Hungary on a school trip a few years ago and we stumbled across this museum. It was definitely the experience! I wasn't able to take pictures as I didn't have a camera, and so I always remembered the life size Michael Jackson, and I can't believe there are pictures of it up! If you are in Budapest,... More

The Marzipan Museum was just...weird. All the items on display were made from marzipan and very detailed. We just went from one room to another, almost in shock that this stuff was made from almond paste. There was everything from Cinderella's carriage to Disney characters to flowers to the Hungarian Parliment. The most freaky item was the life-sized sculpture of... More
