Coming from the train station this is almost like the gate to old town Bratislava. Charming and full of history. Look at the ground as you walk under the gate and you will see a circle in the concrete that shows where all the distances/roads in Slovakia are measured from.
Staff were very pleasant. there was an interesting room at each floor to the top where the views of the quirky rooftops was interesting.
Nice to see the old entrance dating back to the 13th century, nice to see part of the old wall and some very abandoned apartments
it is a historical door. there is a tower and under it there is the door. you can go upstairs to the little balcony and you can have a really nice bratislava view.
Michael's Gate is one of the Medieval Gates of Bratislava and is in the Old Town. In the building is a museum, but I didn't visited.
There's a tiny door to the left of the gate which leads to a steep flight of stairs, at the top of which is the vertically challenging museum of arms. Well worth a visit, as you can get out on to the top of the tower for some excellent views of the town.
Well position. Nice walk, social enjoy, and more..
What a beautiful place and well worth the trip inside to the museum and outside viewing platform well worth it a Must.
