We visited on a really hot and sunny day, cruising up the Danube from Bratislava. It was well worth the trip, but the docking point is a good 15mins walk from the entrance and there were no signs for which way to go. I don't know if you can get there by turning right off the boat, I don't think... More

The ruins are impressive despite the fact that the larger part is closed to the public. From the castle, views of the surroundings are stunning. Certainly worth the trip. We had an Italian lunch on a terrace at the foot of the hill, which was nice and inexpensive. Try the local wine made from red and black currants (Ribezlak) if... More

A castle. In Fairy Land (youtube it). And in good repair, but you can't see much of the inside. It's a decent vantage point to see the city and river, but that's about it.

As it stands , it's a pretty romantic ruin seated on a steep, but not too hight, rocky hill. Very nice park and great views... More

The castle itself is a bit disappointing, but the views are good. It`s a steep climb, but there are a couple of bus routes there.

WORTH IT! Be sure and know the bus schedule FOR SURE before you go, but definitely do it and have a great time running around the ruins. Drop some water down the well and wait… wait… wait for it to hit the bottom! The weapons and defense exhibit is unbelievably interesting, and they have REAL weapons out on display! Very... More
