M. K. Ciurlionis is an unique artist in the world. Amazing paints, fantastic music.Well, it is a museum for adults more, but listen symphonies with kids, they are amazing!
Multi-talented and multi-faceted personality so complex it is taking decades to explore. A painter, a composer, a photographer, and a writer - a legacy for centuries in just 35 years of life. There are no strict definitions to his art and this is what I like best about it - it is all about the feeling. The spirit around the... More
I’ve been to Kaunas a dozen or so times but only saw the Ciurlionis museum a couple of weeks ago. Basically it's a must see. Slick and polished building. The kind of public place that modern Lithuania does so well. Well-designed and friendly to people like me, who rarely wake up and get excited about going to a museum. Ciurlionis... More

Near difrent paintings sounds same artis created clasical music. Nice area... More
This museum is dedicated solely to Ciurlionis who was both a composer and a painter. His paintings are mostly representational, but some are somewhat more abstract with links to classical music movements. In addition to the art section another area is dedicated to depicting his short life- this also quite interesting to visit
One of the most famous artists in Lithuania. During his 36 years short life, he produced a lot of paintings and a lot of music. The only disapointment for me was, that the Zodiak series wasn't present in the exibition.
M.K. Ciurlionis was a talented painter and musician. He is the most celebrated artist in Lithuania! The museum was recently renovated and is most impressive! It is a very pleasant place to observe and study Ciurlionis' art. There is also an area were you can listen to one of his sonatas. It is best to have a guided tour in... More
Unbelievably talented artist - painter and musician. Allow an extra hour or two for listening to his music before or after admiring his paintings. I use to visit Kaunas with the sole purpose - visit Ciurlionis museum. Absolutely worth it. The staff does not speak much English though. Be prepared :) Wheelchair access not easy but possible.
Very interesting artist - you have to get enough time to discover his world. Better to read something about his paintings or to get a good gide there - they love this artist and will help you a lot. Better to spend some time to listen one of his sonatas - it'll be whole impression!
