Raekoja Plats is the center of Tallinn's Old Town. It was an amazingly fun area, and we were even able to get an apartment overlooking it for the night. There was a music festival going on, so we got to see many artists perform while eating or just enjoying the town. There are many good cafes in the square if... More

You have to stop in the square to see the buildings and the weathervane and the massive square. But it's filled with restaurants and shops and isn't the best spot to experience Tallinn.

All roads lead to Rome, but in Tallinn Old Town all roads lead to the central square, the Town Hall square. So, you almost can't avoid it :) Definetly worth seeing and I would suggest everyone to go trough the Saia käik (Bun's passage). However, the open air cafés on this square are the most expensive ones in all of... More

The market square is classic. The town hall, shops activities all center around here. Start here walk up the hill to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and come back down for a quick meal, drink and break. Head in any other direction and begin again.

The area is a buzz with tourists and locals and the overall experience is lovely. Take a coffee and cake and enjoy.

This is a lovely square that is the centre of the old town. It is expensive but if you like to people watch or just watch the world go by this is the place. If you want cheap eat & drink on the square there is only one place... under the tower in a place called 'Krug & Korts' Inn... More

This is very much like eastern europe, large squares that allow the community to use for whatever function they need. A few restaurants for the weary traveller to rest and indulge in some light refreshment.
