Very nice on the outskirts of Tallinn. Very large site with a lot of walking to do. Some areas are totally without animals so might be littell boring for some children. ANyway worth going if you have spare time and your kids are bored with cultural things.

Tallinn Zoo is sadly resistant than other major metropolitan zoos. Although recent years have made a huge steps forward, not all animals are not yet appropriate-sized residences. Animal selection is enough interest to have also reptiles and birds houses. Park is clean, tiny kiosks where to eat / drink purchase. Price could be lower. But it is pleasing to benefit "two... More

On arrival the zoo looked fantastic and I suppose for 6euros for two people I have little room to moan but when walking around it looked somewhat of a ghost town the animal cages were empty and in all fairness I appreciate it was snowing but surely that isn't a reason for the polar bears not to be out??? Very... More

We try to visit the zoo once a year. Big area to walk, many animals so You have to take time for it at least half a day. Zoo is developing all the time, so almost every year we find something new. Great landscaping too and of course... the animals.

Nothing is so depressing like view of sad animal in too small cage...A lot of interesting animals, but those small places which they are living it! I can't see anything pleasant in watching chimpanzees in an animal version of prison. Not even toys for them! I hope zoo will improve soon, but right now i'm not interested to go there again. I... We went there last summer and totally enjoyed our time in the zoo. It is not the biggest zoo I've seen, but I think it was enough for us and even the 2-year-old was able to walk around in there for most of the round :) There were many kinds of animals, our favorites were the monkeys and the HUGE... Once we entered the zoo we felt confused...we couldn't see any animals! Then we spotted them. There were lots of birds in small outdated cages, some of which looked distressed/injured. There was a couple of lynxes. One cage of monkeys eating a bird corpse, two depressed seals, lots of goats, more waterfowl, rats, mice, snakes and meerkats and a couple... More
