It is a very cozy place that fills you with positive emotions and lifts up your mood. It's both educational and playful, concentrating and relaxing. It's really different from traditional museums but worth a visit.

Beutifule place to visit, nice and competent stuf :) .. Very tasty tea, everybody should try it!
The best thing is that you do feel the sun everywhere around you as soon as you step in. The colours are perfect, the shapes are various, the suns are numerous, but it's really hard to capture any single object with your eye. Still this is a pleasant place, and it can lift your spirits.
Friendly service, just don't expect too much. You would not spend much time there but you can buy cool souvenirs there.
This was a brilliant morning out. as the displays were not in english our guide took us round and explained all about the exhibition, which was basically suns from all over the world. At the end we were able to paint our own sun to bring home, all this for L2.50, about £3, excellent!!!
Very nice museum, not one of those were you almost fall asleep towards the end. the collection is still quite small, but very beautiful and inspiring. it's interesting to see the interpretations of so many different cultures. also, there is a special attraction at the end of your visit for kids (and grownup kids). very friendly staff!
Suprised by the history of this very cozy and charmful museum. However, we miss more art history and coverage of the sun as a premium world symbol, thus, we hope this little museum will keep up it's good work and expand. This little museum makes your day with it's charm, but it need something more to compete with the clock...

What makes Riga great are the narrow streets, beautifully restored and colorful buildings and squares and the many churches and cathedrals through the old town. Then, suddenly a Sun Museum! Upon first inspection, this place seems strangely out of place in a medieval world heritage site but we actually liked our quick stop in the sun museum.
The information given...
