It is worth a trip up St Peter's church Tower to get a 360 degree view of Riga which will help with orientation too!
From the ground it doesn't look that high up. But when you get to the top of the tower it seems very high. And the view over the city of Riga is awesome. As its virtually in the middle of the old town you get the birds eye view of it all looking down on top of it. You can... More

Must see. Exciting view! All Riga will be at your legs. In good time you can see kilometers an kilometers of Riga surroundings. You will have the possibility to look admiring old chuch too.

Went up in the lift to the top of this tower wonderful sights, but we chose a day when it rained and although it is a must to do maybe not when it is cold and wet as there is not a lot of shelter, but an interesting sight.
Great view of the city, that if you'd like to see it. There are more cosy places to view Riga from above, but this one offers 360 degrees view and Riga looks (mostly) splendid from above - particularly the old town and the river.
