Have been there several times. Rundale is probably the most beautiful palace with the park in the Baltics. It reminds both Peterghof (near St. Petersburg) and Versailles (near Paris). Designed by the famous architect Rastrelli. If you plan going out of Riga come to see it. Combine visiting this palace with another one Mezotne Palace located nearby.

The palace is interesting, but the try best thing is the garden, when all the roses are blooming - mid - end of june.

Rundale Museum is so special place - as Jiacomo Rastrelli was Italian, pure barocco palace was built in the middle of Latvia's meadows.

We scheduled a trip to take some Latvian friends who do not get out much and last visited Rundale when they were kids. The architecture and furnishings make a great trip. It is worth visiting.
