We came for the Spring migration and haven't been disappointed, the husband birdwatcher even saw a rare desert warbler within five minutes of arriving! Parking is free before 9 am and we arrived at around 6 am when the light was amazing, took some lovely photos where the two waters meet and it was a lovely walk along the empty... More

Although there were a lot of tourists in mid-July it was not crowded or filthy. The meeting of two seas is an amazing sight, totally worth the 1+ km walk in the loose sand. (there's also a shuttle bus, 15 DKK) I've also visited in October, and it was even more spectacular then.

A must see when visiting Skagen is to walk at the sandy beach until you experience the two waters of Kattegat and Skagarak meet at the top of Denmark. It takes about twenty minutes walking unless you take the Sandormen (sandormen.dk). I actually made it more difficult by walking two and a half hours from the bascule light until the... More

Nature is the reason for visiting Grenen - if you want a more unspoiled impression of the great sands and heath landscape, go for Nordstrand - the real northern tip of Denmark.

Experience the two waters of Kattegat and Skagarak respectively meet at the top of Denmark. NB. requires some walking unless you take the Sand Worm chariot.

It is amazing to stand at the top of Denmark and watch the two big oceans meet. The power of nature! You can either walk from Skagen city along the beach or take the Sandormen.

If you are in Denmark you need to take the drive to the most northern point of Jutland and visit Skagen and Grenen ("The Branch"). When standing at the tip you can see The Kattegat and The Skagerrak collide... pray that it's windy then you'll get a beautiful experience.

Grenen is the most northern point in Denmark. Take the "sandorm", a form of transportation if you want to go to the very tip, or you can walk out there. I were there with some friends from Brazil, and had a great time.
