Skagen is marvellous - in summer over-crowded, but wonderful in hot spring days when the town is calm, and the bird migration at its height. Best time late April to mid May, before the crowds turn up and makes Skagen less attractive, unless you want to be seen in your fashionable car with the Danish in-crowd.

During the summer, the city is full of life, people walking around, the restaurants, pubs and cafes are always crowded. But after the summer season, there is nothing to do or see.
