beautiful views, long walk to get there and the road is paved; can be very crowded in season, but worth to visit

One of the most beautiful sights I have seen. On the downside the crowds are a bit off-putting.

For me and for many other mountain lovers, I guess, it is the most exciting, most inspiring and jaw-dropping site in Polish Tatra Mountains. To get there You have to get to the parking 11km far from the Lake and walk the rest of the distance or take a horse carriage to Polana Wlosienica and walk 3 km up. In... More

Morskie Oko is a lake set in a "cove of snow covered alpine mountains". Those mountains are the Tatry and this place is exquisite; the highlight of our trip to Cracow. Yes, we loved Cracow but we loved this trip to the country, too. There are buses that go to the National Park from Cracow. We understand a connection has... More

Very nice and majestic place. It will take about 9 kilometers (2-2.5 hours) wild forest road to walk up to Morskie Oko (Eye of Sea) from bus stop / parking, or 1 hour by horse carriage (40 zloty 1 person). Also, you shall buy a ticket to Tatra National Park - 4,50 zloty. From upper horse station to the lake... More

wow wow wow! Truly amazing! I've been up Whistler, BC and Mt. Sinai, Egypt before... and Morskie Oko is definitely up there in my favourite places. It's no Himalayas, but it's still magnificent! Mind you, the travel to the lake is rather long... but well worth it when you see the clear blue lake water, and the postcard background of... More
