If you are hungry, there are many restaurants to choose from. It is also next to the Fremantle Esplanade if a picnic is more to your liking, or if you just like a walk, there is plenty to see. Nice relaxing afternoon, a meal of fish & chips and then a walk to wear it off.

My husband and I enjoyed two lunches. A local friend took us there in the first instance and we returned the following day. It was busy but efficient. We also enjoyed a walk around the marina, statutes and fishing boats too.

Must try one of the Harbour seafood restaurants for a meal, but very busy on good Friday

This harbour has a fantastic view. You get to see all the sail boats passing through. We were lucky as we got to see a big cruise ship in the harbour. Markets are near also. It is also just around the corner from public transport.

Usually our patronage is limited to Ciccerllo's (who boast the best fish and chips in WA), but for a change opted to try Kailis Bros Food Market instead. We took our grandsons down to Bathers Beach near the fishing boat harbour, to watch the finals of the World Sailing Championships. It was set up really well so that spectators could enjoy it.
