Right across the river from the railroad station in Jim Thorpe is the "other half" of town. Cross River Street and stay left will take you into Lehigh Gorge State park. We booked our trip with Jim Thorpe River Adventures. The ride to find the place was easy and there were many signs. Once there it gets a little confusing as lots of people are wandering and in groups. Park your car on the lot for free, walk into building at the bottom of the hill and check in, after check... More

After having spent the last month on the swollen Delaware a friend and I decided to reenact a trip on the Lehigh of some years past.
