“Scene of a key revolutionary war battle”

Today the Hubbardton battlefield is a low-key and serene place that belies the violence, struggle, and heroism here in 1777. This was the only revolutionary war battle fought in Vermont. We drove quite a while to get to this battlefield. The road leading to Hubbardton is very long and you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. You get the feeling that the area doesn't really look that different from the time of the battle. There's a small museum there, telling the story of the battle. There's a walking... More
