My boyfriend and I go here all the time with our 2 dogs. It is really big and there are trails everywhere so even if there are a lot of people there you never run into that many because it is so big. In the summer it does tend to get pretty warm but there is water almost anywhere you... More

My family of four recently stayed at Chewacla (nicknamed Chewbacca by my two sons, ages 8 and 9) for a Fri-Sun visit. The staff was helpful and informative. When I made my reservation by phone, the staff member I talked to guided me to choose a cabin that would be the most comfortable for my family. He took time to... More

We have often stayed at the cabins at Chewacla. They are roomy for a family and right on the lake. Lots of room for jogging and hiking and a little removed from the hoopla surrounding Auburn University football weekends. Well worth a visit!

No need to drive for miles and miles when a lake, water falls, woods and miles of walking trails are only about five miles from the Auburn University campus

Stay in a cabin or picnic and swim by the waterfall. Easy trail walks and close to Auburn and Interstate 85.

A great park to step off the beaten path and relax a bit. Nice cabins, clean campground, and close to Auburn. Love it! AUsome trails and walking paths.

We really enjoy this nature park in Auburn. It is close to many things to do in Auburn and sometimes I even just pop into the park to eat a nice picnic lunch while I'm in town and don't feel like sitting inside a crowded loud fast food resturant. The cost of getting in is very low and there's alot... More

We had a great time staying at the park. We rented one of the larger cabins and was quite pleased with our stay. The cabins are semi-secluded as opposed to other state parks where they are right alongside all the camping and campers. Our cabine was in a cluster of 3 and each had plenty of space between them for... More
