The maroon bells offers ome of the most specatular mountain views in Colorado within driving distance of Aspen. But be well prepared for some very windy conditions, just in case.

I enjoyed taking a quick trip to Maroon Bells on my way out of Aspen. There are easy hiking trails around the area with stellar views and photo ops. the Maroon Bells look increasingly gorgeous from different angles. It's a classic, must see and I would think a trip to Aspen would not be complete without a visit!

summer or winter, the pace is packed. best to go in the off seasons when your trip cant be marred by or-trail four-wheelers...a real drag when you come all the way to Aspen to enjoy its peace and beauty. STAY away during the in-season, unless you love crowds.

We come to Aspen to see the Bells as often as possible, we have been coming for twenty five years. This trip we got up at 4 am for sunrise on the Bells. It was gorgeous and we had the place to ourselves. There was ducks and marmots all around. A good bet is the hike up to Crater Lake.... More

Visited off-season; normally this time of year would be closed due to snow. Very few people there, rather than the wall to wall I would expect in J J Aug. Only 18 miles south of Aspen. Really beautiful place.

The Maroon Bells were awesome! We went early in the day & stayed until the water was still & got some great photographs of the mountains reflecting in the water.

The views were beautiful at the Maroon Bells! There were trails to hike and plenty of parking. There was a gorgeous lake, the moutains, and a large creek that was so peaceful and scenic. We saw some wildlife on our trip to the lake too. It was gorgeous.

There is nothing more lovely on this earth than the Maroon Bells and Maroon Lake area. Be sure to roam around the lake and take in the stunning beauty of the Aspen-Snowmass Wilderness.
