First off there is a $3 admission fee, but the setting for this ghost town is worth it. The ghost town is in a valley alongside a creek. Most of the buildings run down, but outside each is a write up to help you understand what life was like in the area. I do like history and so the write-ups... more

We've two and four year-old children and they both got a kick out of the Ashcroft Ghost Town. It is small, so perfect for little children or just a quick visit, and the drive out (it's about eleven miles out on Castle Creek Road) is gorgeous. what a piece of history! right across the way is a wonderful restaurant with amazing views. Go for a hike and then enjoy some fine cuisine!! more
