Hol Chan means "little channel" in Mayan. The snorkleing at Hol Chan is very nice. We especially liked swimming with sharks, eels, turtles, and rays. We did the tour with Alfonse. Although he is very enthusiastic and loves what he does, this was not my favorite snorkeling experience. If you go to Belize, you canNOT miss Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. It is an absolute MUST. And yes, please go with Alfonse as he is the best. My family and I had a great time with him and we all got up close and personal with nurse sharks and stingrays. more
