This was part of the Caracol tour. It was nice to swim in the afternoon. All the tours stop there so it can be crowded. Guanacaste National Park had a far better place to swim.

Such a fun place, we did this along with Barton Creek, also a 5 star event. The pools were so refreshing and beautiful. I would also recommend stopping at the big falls which is off the same road.

Very pretty, but you find better places in the canadian shield. So if you don't know those, than this may be the palce for you to visit.

A very long drive and rutted dirt roads, and lots of tourists. Pack a lunch and your bathing suits!

if you go in the morning when there are no tour buses, you will have the area all to yourself. Great swimming and photos.

we made a mistake & went up the crazy gravel road which is about 5 miles out of town off the highway, it was hell. we really earned those waterfalls. this place is like a dream sequence, it's what waterparks all over the world are modeled after with big mossy rocks, little pools, chutes to ride down, and waterfalls. just... We hired a car and did this on our own, fairly easy to find once heading in the right direction.Lovelt swimming in the cool water after a hot journey and then drying out in the sun afterwards.

Appeared to be clean, and safe....other people there.....we were with a guide, but would have been safe to go there on our own too.

9 miles felt like 50 miles on the worst road I have ever been on, Makes Iowa dirt roads look great. But most amazing waterfalls and pools of crystal clear water.

We stopped here mid day and ate our lunch by the pools. Later we went for a nice swim. I just wished we had water shoes on because it was slippery.
