We booked the Moneky River tour through our resort and Percy was our guide. He is amazing. I have no idea how he does it, but he can spot a lizzard, a crock or a spider that is camouflaged in the greenery from soo far away. He knows the habits of the animals, and will recognize and name any bird...

You can immerse yourself in the experience all day, half-day, or book multiple day tours customized to your interests - from jungle and river tours to see Howler monkeys and crocodiles to night tours, survival tours, medicinal tours, plus snorkeling and fishing trips and more. Percy Gordon, known as "King of the Howlers," is our most requested tour guide, and talks with the monkeys - you have to hear it to believe it! I am a resident of Monkey River, Belize since September 2011. If you are going to tour Monkey River, you have to go with Percy.
Percy grew up on the River and still lives there with his family. His mom's restaurant is where all the tours of the river stop for lunch, and he will tell you many (many) stories of dive fishing in the river and hunting in the jungle....

Craig at Barebones Tours quickly responded to my email inquiry for a last minute tour. We decided to make it a night tour since we have been in the jungle many times in the daylight. We immediately felt comfortable with Percy Gordon our tour guide.
