I was on the Carnival Valor two weeks ago with my boyfriend and some friends of ours. Our friends wanted to try windsurfing and found Micky on tripadvisor. After reading some reviews, I was all for it. Micky came and picked us up from the Mahogony Bay port and drove us to his newest school at Fantasy Island (he also... more

My sister, brother, and I were on a Carnival cruise last week and wanted to try windsurfing sometime along the way. I ran across Micky's on tripadvisor, sent him a few e-mails, then talked to him once on the phone and it seemed legitimate, so we decided to give it a go. The day we were in Roatan it just... more

I found out about Micky's windsurfing school on Tripadvisor as we were going to be visiting Roatan on 26 August and looking for something to do. Took a taxi from the cruise ship dock to his school at Sandy Bay (which was on the north side of the island), and which was very quiet as we were the only ones... more

We just went out with Micky yesterday to learn how to windsurf for the first time - something my husband and I have been talking about for some time now. Micky has a very top notch facility with more boards than you would ever imagine, and really a very well oiled business in a quite area of Sandy Bay. His... more

Roatan was one of a handful of port destinations as part of a cruise ship itinerary. We were travelling with a group and no one could find anything that totally stood out as an activity as was so easy in other ports. I came across Micky's facility on trip advisor and we decided to give it a shot. There were... more

Lessons with Mikki are entertaining, insightful, playful, and very effective. He's been doing this for years and it shows: his well-honed teaching process, patience, and creative ways to visualize & feel the proper body position really work. We're both total novices with just one prior attempt under our belts back home, but after about an hour of dryland practice we... more

Two weeks ago I had the chance to surf at Mickey's surf school in Roatan. I didn't surf for 14 years and Mickey had me up and running in 15 minutes and jiving within an hour, making beach starts the second day. The second day, he taught a friend with no prior experience. In addition, he has a large selection... more

Mickey had my 2 teens up and windsurfing in a single 2 hour lesson. We hired a taxi from the cruise ship pier to show us the island, and I had him drive us by the only windsurfing instructor on the island -- Mickey-- who I remembered from this website. He was great. He is all about good form, which... more

Micky did a wonderful job.. I had always wanted to windsurf and had even tried it once but with bad instruction I could not get it.. With Micky I was able to catch the wind and tack back and forth into the wind on my very first lesson!! It was so much fun I had to come back again before... more

I had a great time learning from Mickey! There is nothing better than wind surfing on Roatan at Sunset! BEAUTIFUL! It was nice to have an instructor with passion AND patience. I highly recommend stopping by for an experience that will leave you wanting to wind surf when you get back home! more
