I went to Honduras for the first time this march 2012 and this place was the best of my trip, if you go you must take the Waterfall Tour its cheap and Very intense. Highly recommend !!! Not recommended for children !! The tour takes yo down to the bottom of the waterfall and actually behind it, where you can... More

Make sure you take the tour back behind the waterfall, it is well worth the hundred and fifty Lempiras (around $7). We went with Carlos and he tells you extra stories about the falls and takes great care of you. Thanks!!

beautiful, relaxing, exciting, thrilling, however some of our group got sick (possibly from the native food.)

A little tough to get here using public transportation but the guided tour behind the falls is well worth it if you're brave enough!

We visited the falls from Lake Yojoa (D&D Brewery) and had an amazing day there. We did the walk behind the falls (not for the feint-hearted!) and the river tubing. Both were excellent fun. The waterfall walk is VERY intense. Highly recommend both.

I've been here twice. Both experiences were great. It was so fun to zip line over the waterfall and see amazing views. I also did the beginning of the behind the waterfall tours, which is very popular as well. The prices for the excursions are reasonable as well. And, they have a great fish lunch!

You would not be able to have this experience in the states. Hire the guides to take you behind the falls. I recommend you take old tennis shoes or something with a secure strap as the water will rip any other footwear off.
