A good area for snorkeling, with wide expanse of sand bench to provide entry. My rating is based on the time of day that I went snorkeling. It was close to low tide, so the clarity of the water was not good. While I could see quite a few fish between the bench and the three tables, the amount of... More

Don't let the name of this awesome snorkel spot fool you - we didn't see any sharks here. It is difficult entering the cove and we wore our water sandals all the way in carrying our snorkel equipment until we were deep enough. This cove is almost all rock - which makes the water much clearer than other dive spots.... More

Don't go to the North Shore of Oahu without at least swimming at Shark's Cove (Pupukea Beach). Bring your snorkel gear for an even better experience. This sheltered area is perfect for swimmers and snorkellers of all skill levels. You will see a very wide variety of fish including a very friendly school of silver fish that swim around you... More

I was worried that even the tidal pool might be rough in December but it was very calm. Totally beautiful, but there were a good number of tourists... More

Pupukea Beach Park (a.k.a "Shark's Cove", although there are no sharks here), is an outstanding snorkeling spot ideal for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. I recommend it over Hanauma Bay because although it may be smaller and less hyped up, it is also usually way less crowded as a result. The cove is enclosed by a rocky barrier,... More
