You will get a great history lesson from the Amana Colonies--don't spend all your time in the shops, though. The colonies are far enough apart that you have to drive or cycle to the different colonies. Most buildings are labeled. Plus, you can get an audio cd from the museum that explains highlights along the way. It is facinating to... more
