The Menara gardens are basically the water storage of Marrakech. The water comes from the high atlas and it is stored in a big tank. Guide books and locals alike recommended we go to the Menara Gardens preferrably in the hour before it closes. Supposedly beautiful with a grand pavilion and 'lots of water'. Nothing much to see really... Unless you want to join the local for a splash in the gigantic pool, literally a splash, and if you like trees and trees and trees. Then this is the place for you. It looked nice but there is nothing that wow'ed me and didn't appeal to me much, as it looked like a congregation... more

Please don't waste a return taxi fare going to the Menara "Gardens". I can only imagine that locals are deperate to get away from the very busy and fume-polluted streets of the medina: otherwise, why visit? There is nothing to see, as these "gardens" are, in fact, a large area of fenced in rows of olive trees, with a large... more

Romantic? Beautiful? Took a taxi here to see the "beautiful" gardens, and was very disappointed. Scraggily trees, rubbish floating in the water..... this was the biggest waste of my day!! Didn't even take a picture of it, as it was not worth taking a picture of. (and I normally take lots of photos!) Go to the Cyber Garden.. now that... more

for me it's the most beautiful place in Morocco, be sure to visit it when the sun goes down, then the pavillion will be in a beautiful glow of the sun! a must do when you visit Marrakech! more
