There are spice stalls, rugs, lamps etc. etc and they all look lovely, but there is a lot of hassle although not unfriendly.

I realise that I am probably in a minority of people who commit their negative impressions of the Medina and main square of Marrakech to a review, but I am going to anyway on the basis that perhaps more travellers will be better informed when they go to this place.
The Djemaa el Fna is one of the busiest trading...

Amazing place and experience, very busy with a lot going on, you have to keep your wits about you, but definitely worth a visit, just to see all the food stalls and markets and the labyrinth of side streets and souks
The whole Medina area is great. Get lost in the souks and take time to chat to the shopkeepers who tend to be really friendly and like a laugh. Offer about a third of what they're asking and work from there and remember to keep it fun and good natured. Enjoy.
Great to walk around in the evening and have some nice food at the stands. Beautiful display! Beware of the 'faux guides'! and those who ask money if they see you taking a picture
Hustle and bustle with great shopping without pestering from spices, oils, to leather goods, babouches of any colours, carpets, lovely silver ware, incents sticks and cloth. Even seen a dead camels head hanging outside a butchers shop!!! Drew the line there!
"The courageous belongs the world". In case you get lost, don't ask little boys on the street, they will misguide you and ask for money, the best is to ask shop owners.
great hustle and bustle, and surprisingly not too much in the way of being pestered. got some good bargains on leather bags.
