Entering through perfumed gardens you are led to a beautiful building on the grounds of a private club. First, a drink of minted tea beside a pool- where Mohammed, our translator and guide, greeted us and gave us an introduction into the history of Moroccan cuisine. We were then taken to a breathtaking demonstration kitchen that rivals any kitchen on... more

We spent a great morning a few weeks back, on La Maison Arabe cooking course. Being aware of the exceptional reputation of La Maison Arabe, and keen to further our knowledge of Moroccan cuisine, 3 of us enroled on the course. We received a warm welcome on arrival at the Riad, and were able to have a walk around and... more

As part of our culinary tour of Morocco, we wanted to learn a bit more about Moroccan cuisine, and spent an enjoyable morning taking this cooking class. The facility was spotless and beautiful, the instructor and her interpreter both very pleasant to work with, and the class was well-structured. Even though the dishes were extremely simple, the class was very... more

A great way to spend a morning if you have the time. It's held in a beautiful morrocan house / villa with a swimming pool in a tranquil setting away from the old town. Mohammed, who takes you through the cooking course is a really lovely and interesting guy who is fascinating to talk to about morocco and moroccan culture.... more

My husband and I recently did our very first cooking class at La Maison Arabe. Whilst it was quite expensive, it was worth it for the delicious food, tranquil respite from marrakesh and the pleasure of Mohammed's company (who hosts the cooking class). We cooked a delicious tagine and learnt a few tips and tricks along the way (including the... more

The whole trip was world class. We got picked up at the Maison Arabe and got whisked off with another family of 4 on a 30 min journey out of the old town to a secret hideqwqy. When we got dropped off , the 6 of us were met by a very friendly man named Mohammed, who led us down... more

Marrakesh: La Maison L'Arabe Cooking School Date: 13 November, 2008. Reviewer: Suzanne - Melbourne, Australia. I travelled to Morocco in September with 7 very good friends. As the nominated travel planner, I included a cooking class at La Maison L'Arabe. We stayed downtown at "La Maison" and were transferred to the outskirts of town to the hotel's private annexe. This... more

Thoroughly enjoyed this cooking workshop. The facility is set up really well, everything is modern and clean, with a beautiful pool and garden to have lunch by. Mohammed was an excellent teacher, very friendly and professional. He catered well for the two in our group who were vegetarian. The recipes were delicious (the best we'd tasted during our 4 days... more
