We visited and and stayed in Arusha National Park at the end of two weeks touring. We sadly did not allow enough time to enjoy this park and its stunning views, wildlife, flora, lakes etc. Mt. Kilimanjaro looms 50 km away; Mt. Meru is much closer, beautiful and accessible. We climbed Kili about 2 years ago and may return to... more

Arusha National Park was much better than I expected. As the main entryway prior to hiking Meru, it is a great place. Getting to Arush is just as fun.
