Enough water flowing to be spectacular but not to obscure vision with the mist.Pack appropriate footwear, thongs or non slip shoes you don't mind getting wet. We were given raincoats to wear. Also a camera that is waterproof is helpful. Beware of the baboons. Try and keep bags close to your body . We witnessed a nasty baboon attack on a... More

Well defined cemented walk. Fabulous viewing points. Hire a rain jacket (US$2) as spray is quite heavy (but loads of fun). The rainforest is amazing to walk through. Experience of a life time. Tourist shop inside the entrance on the Zim side is quality shopping at its best, and reasonably priced (compared to Joburg airport).

Well worth the long wait to get there! Water was up and the spray got us wet but didn't bother with ponchos and just enjoyed the total experience.

The VF National Park is laid out with a singe path connecting seven viewing points (Devil's Cataract, Cataract Fall,s Cataract Islands, Mian Fall, Horseshoe Falls, Livingstone Island, Rainbow Falls, Eastern Cataract). The path was relatively easy to navigate, although the section in front of the Main Falls was extremely wet slippery - the little paving stones were covered with moss.... More

It is quite an effort to get to Victoria Falls which explains why there are so few visitors here. This is similar to the Iguazu Falls, but Iguazu is worth the trek whereas Victoria is not. The entire experience at Iguzu, specially ffrom the Argentinian side is just mind boggling, sublime and wonderful. I could stay there for hours and... More

This is an incredible place. There are so many great views. Be sure that the mist is down, or you won't see much. Also, be aware that the entry charge is $30 per person, per visit. There is no re-entry. So that is why you need to be sure that the mist is low.

The falls are amazing but are in full flight during April - May The view is better in Zambia - In Zimbabwee, you just look at a wall of white - but thats still something worth seeing anyway. From June onward the better view is on the Zimbabwee side Better be ready to get drenched - dont worry about waterproofs... More

We went in April and the water was just pounding over. This was far better than Niagra....
