This is kind of pointless, it just looks like some garbage dump on some mud hills. The ticket is expensive. The waterfall though is fabulous and you don't have to buy a ticket for that. more

We arrived at Chamarel shortly before sunsent. In the blazing sunshine the colours of the earth sang out in beautiful radiance and sheer vibrance. As the sun began to set and the light changed the colours took a different tone and it was truly breathtaking. I recommend anyone to go to Chamarel and not be wowed by this natural wonder. more

The Chamarel coloured earths lie in the south east part of Mauritius. Nearby you will also find a great vantage point to view the spectacular waterfall which plunges more than 100 meters.
